فِي أَوَّلِ أَيَّامِ الْعُطْلَةِ، ذَهَبْنَا مَعَ أُسْرَتِنَا إِلَى الشَّاطِئِ.

On the first day of the holiday, our family went to the beach.

كَانَ الْبَحْرُ أَزْرَقَ صَافِيًا، وَكَانَتِ الْأَمْوَاجُ تَصِلُ إِلَى الرِّمَالِ بِهُدُوءٍ.

The sea was clear blue, and the waves reached the sand gently.

قَبْلَ السِّبَاحَةِ، وَضَعْنَا وَاقِيَ الشَّمْسِ، وَبَقِينَا قَرِيبِينَ مِنَ الْكِبَارِ.

Before swimming, we put on sunscreen and stayed close to the adults.

سَبَحَ أَخِي فِي الْمِيَاهِ الضَّحْلَةِ، وَبَنَيْتُ أَنَا قَلْعَةً كَبِيرَةً مِنَ الرَّمْلِ.

My brother swam in the shallow water while I built a large sandcastle.

وَجَدْنَا أَصْدَافًا مُلَوَّنَةً، فَتَأَمَّلْنَاهَا ثُمَّ تَرَكْنَاهَا فِي مَكَانِهَا.

We found colourful shells, looked at them carefully, and then left them where they were.

عِنْدَ الظُّهْرِ، جَلَسْنَا تَحْتَ مِظَلَّةٍ وَتَنَاوَلْنَا سَمَكًا مَشْوِيًّا وَسَلَطَةً طَازَجَةً.

At noon, we sat under an umbrella and ate grilled fish and fresh salad.

قَبْلَ الْمُغَادَرَةِ، جَمَعْنَا أَكْيَاسَنَا وَكُلَّ مَا خَلَّفْنَاهُ مِنْ نُفَايَاتٍ.

Before leaving, we collected our bags and all the rubbish we had produced.

شَاهَدْنَا الشَّمْسَ تَغْرُبُ، فَامْتَلَأَتِ السَّمَاءُ بِأَلْوَانٍ بُرْتُقَالِيَّةٍ وَوَرْدِيَّةٍ.

We watched the sun set, and the sky filled with orange and pink colours.

عُدْنَا سَعِيدِينَ، وَاتَّفَقْنَا عَلَى أَنْ نَحْمِيَ الشَّاطِئَ كُلَّمَا زُرْنَاهُ.

We returned happy and agreed to protect the beach whenever we visited it.
