I woke up in the morning and found the sky grey and the clouds thick.

Soon, rain began to fall, and its drops started tapping on the window.

I wanted to play outside, but my mother said, “Wait until the rain becomes lighter.”

I sat near the window and drew a red umbrella and little puddles in the road.

Then I helped my mother prepare a cup of warm milk.

At noon, the rain eased, so I put on my coat and waterproof shoes.

I went outside with my mother and saw the trees shining and the plants drinking in the rain.

I smiled and said, “Rain changes our plans, but it gives life to the earth.”
