جَاءَ الرَّبِيعُ بَعْدَ شِتَاءٍ بَارِدٍ، وَبَدَأَتِ الْأَرْضُ تَسْتَعِيدُ أَلْوَانَهَا.

Spring came after a cold winter, and the earth began to regain its colours.

خَرَجَتْ مَرْيَمُ مَعَ زُمَلَائِهَا لِيَعْتَنُوا بِحَدِيقَةِ الْمَدْرَسَةِ.

Maryam went out with her classmates to care for the school garden.

وَجَدُوا أَوْرَاقًا يَابِسَةً وَأَغْصَانًا صَغِيرَةً تُغَطِّي التُّرْبَةَ.

They found dry leaves and small branches covering the soil.

بَيْنَمَا كَانُوا يُنَظِّفُونَ الْمَكَانَ، رَأَوْا عُشًّا بَيْنَ الْأَغْصَانِ.

While they were cleaning the area, they saw a nest among the branches.

قَالَتِ الْمُعَلِّمَةُ: «سَنَعْمَلُ بِهُدُوءٍ حَتَّى لَا نُزْعِجَ الطُّيُورَ.»

The teacher said, “We will work quietly so that we do not disturb the birds.”

زَرَعَ الْأَطْفَالُ بُذُورًا، وَسَقَوْهَا بِكَمِّيَّةٍ مُنَاسِبَةٍ مِنَ الْمَاءِ.

The children planted seeds and watered them with a suitable amount of water.

وَضَعُوا لَافِتَةً تَطْلُبُ مِنَ الزُّوَّارِ أَلَّا يَدُوسُوا النَّبَاتَاتِ.

They put up a sign asking visitors not to step on the plants.

بَعْدَ أَسَابِيعَ، تَفَتَّحَتِ الزُّهُورُ وَعَادَتِ الْفَرَاشَاتُ إِلَى الْحَدِيقَةِ.

After a few weeks, the flowers bloomed and the butterflies returned to the garden.

اِبْتَسَمَتْ مَرْيَمُ وَقَالَتْ: «جَمَالُ الرَّبِيعِ يَحْتَاجُ إِلَى عِنَايَتِنَا.»

Maryam smiled and said, “The beauty of spring needs our care.”

وَمُنْذُ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ، تَنَاوَبَ التَّلَامِيذُ عَلَى رِعَايَةِ الْحَدِيقَةِ.

From that day on, the pupils took turns caring for the garden.
