Flip cards and match Arabic words to their English meanings!
Excellent! You matched all the cards!
The Word Match Memory Game is a fun and effective way to build Arabic vocabulary. Flip face-down cards to find matching pairs — one card shows an Arabic word (like أسد), while its match shows the English meaning and emoji (Lion 🦁). The game challenges both memory and Arabic word recognition at the same time, making vocabulary learning feel like play. Choose from three difficulty levels and try to beat your best score!
Click any face-down card to flip it — it will show either an Arabic word or an English word with an emoji. Flip a second card and check if they match. A correct pair stays face up and earns points. A wrong pair flips back — try to remember where each card was. Match all pairs to complete the game!
The game covers everyday Arabic vocabulary across multiple topics: animals (أسد lion, قطة cat, فيل elephant), nature (شمس sun, قمر moon, نجم star), and objects (بيت house, كتاب book, ماء water). Words are shuffled each round so every game is a fresh challenge.
Easy (6 pairs) — great for beginners and ages 5–7, with a manageable 12-card grid. Medium (8 pairs) — 16 cards for ages 7–10 with a bit more of a challenge. Hard (12 pairs) — 24 cards for older learners or those building a larger Arabic vocabulary. Score bonuses reward efficiency — fewer moves, higher points.
Say the Arabic word aloud each time you flip a card — vocalising reinforces memory. When you see a card, try to recall its pair before flipping. Play multiple rounds to strengthen vocabulary retention through spaced repetition. Start on Easy until you can match all pairs without hesitation, then move up a level.
